Share the Harvest
Established in 2020, Share the Harvest is a community gleaning initiative that connects local growers and volunteers to reduce food waste, nurture island connections, and share abundance that would otherwise go to waste.
Get Involved
Lead by Katie Dewinetz and her team of volunteers - our gleaning project allows landowners to register their trees for harvest and processing though our Share the Harvest program.
The processed goods are then split evenly between landowners, volunteers, and the Farmland Trust. We sell our share at the Fall Fair to help fund future projects.
Last year, we rescued over 4,500 lbs of produce including Apples, Pears, Plums, Quince, Grapes, Walnuts, and Hazelnuts.

Register Your Trees
Register your fruit and nut trees so our volunteers can help harvest and put the bounty to good use.
Volunteer for Harvest
Join our team of volunteers and help pick, process, and distribute fresh, island-grown produce.
