Hornby Island Farmers Market

The Hornby Island Farmers’ Market is a lively gathering of growers, bakers, makers, and artists—many of us longtime residents who’ve spent years honing our crafts in kitchens, gardens, studios, and fields. We’re proud to share the fruits of our labour with you: the freshest produce, handcrafted goods, and homemade delights straight from the heart of Hornby.

We operate under the BC Farmers’ Market Association’s guiding motto: “Make it, Bake it, Grow it.” This simple phrase speaks to our commitment to authenticity and quality—you’ll only find goods grown, baked, or crafted by the vendors themselves.

Over the years, the market has become one of Hornby’s most beloved summer traditions, a weekly celebration of community, creativity, and abundance.

Fall Fair

Many hands make light work—and every September, we come together to celebrate the harvest with a day filled with local bounty, music, food, market stalls, and good old-fashioned merriment.

The Fall Fair features island favourites like a vibrant parade, vendors market, silent auction, judges competition, zucchini races, quilt raffle, harvest meals, and homegrown music. At its heart is the Competition Tent, where local farmers and producers are invited to share their most prized produce and recipes for a chance to win

Rooted in food security and sustainability, the Fair is all about sharing knowledge, skills, and community spirit.
